collaboration with the young people from Roycroft Clinic.
Marie
has been working with the young people of Roycroft Clinic
in Newcastle-upin-Tyne to produce a hand-made paper
wall hanging for the entrance to the new wing. The main
theme combined the idea of bringing the outside in with
the Tree of Life. The young people produced their own
hand-made paper which was incorporated into the piece
as well using monoprinting techniques to produce their
chosen images including footballers and musicians. The
work is highly textured and includes buttons and fabrics
in the final workwhich hangs above the sofas in the
entrance area for visitors including their families
to enjoy.
